Light up your eyes

Baked Eyeshadow by Pupa Milano

Full and bright colours that light up the eyes. They can be used either wet or dry, depending on the desired effect, wet: extreme pearly colour; dry: lighter and more sophisticated. Available in 4 shades: from pink to light blue, from green to violet. Comes with applicator.

I have been wearing pink (wet) over a cream eyeshadow to give a blah colour a bit of bling. And tried it dry over metallic beige and rose-gold colour to give it a bit more bling. You can also mix it with sealer to make the colour more intense and velvety as an eyeliner

Perfect brows every time

All you need is a brow powder ,a good slanted brow brush, a sealant and maybe a stencil ...And sometimes a talented make-up artist

Well.. it took a lot of practice for me, honestly. I had to find the right color of brow powder, which ended up being a matte eyeshadow from MAC cosmetics. Matte powders will work the best when working with these stencils. I use a slanted brow brush from a company called Brandon, which is really inexpensive and works better than any high end brush I’ve tried.

Check out the brow definer brush here: http://www.tiffanysbeauty.com/brmabr.html
I coat my brush on both sides with the matte powder, hold the stencil up to the desired area and pat the brush up and down until I see that the color looks solid. I try to fill in the whole stencil, but sometimes the ends of the brow won’t come through, but that’s okay, I normally go over that part with a brown eyebrow pencil. I flip the stencil over to the other brow and hopefully it will line up with the other side (like I said.. it takes some practice) and I fill that one in just like I did the first time.

Michelle's eyebrows began making news late last summer - for their overly-arched shape that gave her a severe, angry look. "I will take the compliment or the blame for it," said Michelle's makeup artist Ingrid Grimes-Myles in an interview with The Chicago Tribune.

I have plenty of secrets on how I keep my makeup on. I use a theatrical makeup sealant on my brows after I apply them. There are some companies that charge tons for their own sealants, but you don’t need to go to high end stores to find a good sealant. I found mine at the drug store, but I find that it’s almost always out of stock, so now I order online. http://www.ebonyline.com/ireg2000.html

I just brush the product on, let it dry, and I then have waterproof, smudgeproof brows. No need to touch up again during the day or night.

How green is your beauty routine?

From hair care to make up, toothpaste and lotions, products are increasingly available that focus more on plant-based ingredients rather than harsh chemicals and materials considered dangerous such as talc and lead.

Going green is not just a trend, it's a lifestyle, People are more interested than ever in the environment and the economy, When it comes to skin care we are buying less and reading labels more. Looking good is important ...but so is your health

Greening up your beauty routine is neither difficult or expensive
I am not telling you to toss everything and start over. Prioritize, and maybe start with something like a moisturizer that is going to sit on your face all day

Look for products that don't contain parabens, which have been linked to allergies and irritations. Other things to look at are ingredients you might be inhaling, such as talc. make informed decisions about what to buy and what to avoid, cosmeticsdatabase.com has information and safety reports on more than 41,000 personal care products

Economics also comes in to play when buying green. Find multitaskers ,things that do multiple jobs. Like Philosophy's shampoo, bath, and shower gel or switch to mineral makeup, almost always paraben and talc free and can be used as your eye shadow, highlighter and blush. Most Dept. store cosmetic counters will recycle your empty containers. M.A.C. runs promotions called Back to M.A.C. bring in 6 empty MAC makeup containers you score yourself a free product ! Being Green and Gorgeous has never been so easy

Beauty vs. Economy

How are you coping with the market chaos and shrinking 401ks ? I think I'll go to the spa , yeah a facial will make me feel better . I want to start a discussion about beauty products and the economy . I splurge on beauty products. Any one who knows me can tell you that !!! For instance, I don't think $195 is too much to spend on eye cream (Like N.V. Perricon e M.D. NEUROPEPTIDE EYE AREA CONTOUR OMG this eye cream will change your life)The glam lounge says -It's the one area you simply can't cut back on - I invite you to tell what changes you are making if any with your beauty budget . My mother always told me all you need for a facial is in the fridge !!! So here's how to create a spa experience for yourself at home. Besides... bringing positive energy into your living space can help bring on greater financial, spiritual and emotional success

My Beautiful mom taught me how to make these masks growing up. I can remember being in the kitchen with her and hearing her say " you can put this on your face " . Was I the only kid that could play with my food ???

Egg White Mask

Take an egg (organic —better for you and the planet)
Separate out the yolk ( you can mush into your hair for a nice conditioner if you're planning on hopping in the shower to wash off your mask be sure the water's not too hot—you don't want to be picking scrambled eggs out of your hair!).
Using a mask brush apply the egg white onto a clean face avoiding your eyes and mouth.
Let it dry—about 10 minutes .Rinse off with a warm wash cloth

AvocadoMask

Mash 1/2 organic avocado, I find 1/4 avocado is enough unless your going to put on a hair mask as well , apply to skin . Let sit for at least 15 minutes. Rinse with a warm wash cloth

Yogurt Mask
1 tbsp plain organic yogurt ,1 tsp honey,1 tsp oatmeal or wheatgerm
mix all ingredients in a bowl , apply to skin , Let sit for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm wash cloth

Take it a step further and create a spa experience for yourself at home here's how

What you need
Rose petals
candles
cucumber slices
Neutrogena Body Oil, Original Light Sesame Formula
Set up a bath ,add rose petals to the water , light the candles. When the water is filling the bath, add 1/2 a cup of the oil to the water , cover your body with the oil . Get into the water and put the cucumbers over your eyes and relax at least 20 minutes. when you get out dab your skin down with a towel and put on some comfortable pajamas. I always turn on some relaxing music and have a glass of wine or sparking mineral water - this we enhance the experience
