Hello Ladies...I know this is a bit off topic but, so many of my readers ask me for advice on make-up and beauty products for when they go camping . Who says you have to go to the spa to spoil yourself?

Spa treatments like facials and manicures can help you de-stress and relax you (until you see the bill,that is!) Splurging on luxurious treatments is FUN once in a while , most of us can't afford it all the time. Who says you have to go to the spa to spoil yourself? You can re-create a relaxing ,stress free environment in the privacy of your own home. Making your own beauty products is easier than you think. Using natural product feels better (no chemicals) you know exactly what your putting on you skin! You can create everything from masks to shampoos. Light candles put on some music and get gorgeous at the same time : )

Here a couple recipes you can try -

Avocado Cleanser
1 Yolk beaten until light and frothy
1/2 c. milk
1/2 Avocado peeled and mashed
mash mixture with until you have a thin cream or lotion consistency

Kiwi Cleanser
1 kiwi ,peeled
2 tbsp plain yogurt
1 tbsp honey
1 tsp almonds (ground)
mash mixture with a fork until you have a thin cream or lotion consistency

Cucumber Honey Toner
1 cucumber pureed
2 tsps honey
line a sieve with a cheesecloth
set the sieve over a glass bowl
pour the cucumber puree through the sieve
and let stand 15 minutes
pour the clear juice into a clean bottle and add the honey
shake well

Shampoo
1 oz olive oil
1 egg
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Combine in a blender . Use like regular shampoo(discard leftovers)

All of these recipes can be kept in the fridge for up to 1 week except the shampoo
